Welcome to my Blog. My first allotment, this i took ownership in Easter 2005 and handed back in 2009. The allotments was new and made on the top of a slope that was created from a huge spoil heap of heavy clay lots of brambles, weeds and hard work but also fun. I have always been a keen gardener, and have wanted an allotment for over 10 years so was thrilled to get this and disappointed when i had to give it back but i have moved house to a place with a big garden and a new adventure.
The plan i have been building my plot to, the structure at the bottom (top of the image) is a fruit cage which i am hoping to make from scafolding poles and the dots you can see between the raised beds are tyres that are sitting between wooden posts which should allow me to train grape vines down providing wind protection and some shade. The plot is on a downwards slant on the top of a hill.
